October & November Sign Up Incentives

We had a brief meeting at lunch yesterday to update the trip email contact list.  We currently have 6 people registered with EF and a list of 20 more who plan to sign up in the next little while.  If you were unable to attend the meeting yesterday please stop by the office today to indicate whether or not you are still thinking of travelling with us.

EF has shared their November sign up incentives and they are as follows:

• $150 off for anyone enrolled by the end of October (technically the final date would be November 4^th).
• $75 off for anyone enrolled by the end of November (you cannot collect both)       
• Locked in Departure Fees for anyone enrolling by the end of November (normally a program fee is  locked in upon enrolment and departure fees can change at any time before a trip is paid off in full). 

San Gimignano

San Gimignano is one of the half day customized excursions we spoke about at our meeting.  It will be incorporated into our trip itinerary on one of the days in Florence.  The cost of this is $55 and it has been added to the trip quote with EF.

Info Meeting

On October 2 we held an information meeting at W.C. Miller Collegiate.  It was great to see so many interested travellers and parents.  Our trip as been set up with EF Tours and official tour registration can begin.

Italy 2014

We are pleased to announce that from March 28 to April 7, 2014, students from W. C. Miller will have the opportunity to explore Florence, Venice, Pompeii and Rome on an EF Educational Tour.

During our tour, we will visit many of Italy’s most famous landmarks, such as St. Mark’s Square, the canals of Venice, and the streets of Pompeii. Guides will give us behind-the-scenes looks at St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Sistine Chapel, and the mighty Colosseum.

The benefits of travel for students are extensive. Not only do they experience new places and cultures, but they also gain confidence in themselves and a new perspective on the world. Travel experience can also prove helpful when applying to colleges.
